I'm starting off looking for different software's with different features that can all help me achieve what I would like to do. I started off by going to YouTube and finding videos that we're similar to how would like to make mine. One video in particular that I like how it was made was a song cover where a girl took four different videos of her singing a song a capella with different sounds.

In her description box she mentioned she used Adobe Premier Pro, so I followed up on the site and it costs $19.99 a month, but there is also a downloadable Trial, which I may be able to Experiment with at home. Extra stuff I found while looking up Adobe Premier Pro was that Adobe offers Quite a few different Software's 28 exactly. Check out the software catalog here. (it will open in a new tab) worth the visit if you're interested in creating or editing anything. I wasn't paid for the advertisement I just really liked it.

There is many tutorial videos on how to use Adobe premiere pro, it is a pretty advanced software so if I was going to invest into learning it, I believe I would have the resources to help me. I definitely would like to find other options and alternatives.

While Browsing The adobe creative Catalog I came across a software called Audition that can edit Audio files which is something I would definitely enjoy using in this project. So looking more into this, you can get a $19.99 a month access to Adobe creative cloud, which is all their 28 software's, as a student or teacher.

Today I started looking around for more programs for audio specifically. There is Audacity which is a free software as far as I know. I am more interested in the TwistedWave software which I could get free on the Chrome Web store if I wanted and it's capabilities don't look too fancy, but it seems to offer a few things that would be helpful in creating my project. As I was looking through an article talking about 25 digital audio editors I was shown an Editor that seemed more about making your own music digitally from scratch instead of editing your already made audio files, I was planning on editing my own audio files but I don't think it would be a bad idea to mix in my own digitally made music in my project as well. It is called LMMS and I will definitely think about using this when the development time comes, I can test it out now and see all of it's capabilities because it is blocked on the school network so hopefully I can look at it on my own time. As well as Qtractor which seems to have the same use, I'm going to have to look at that on my own time as it also blocked for File sharing.

LMMS - Go to LMMS site

I'm Experimenting with AudioTool It is completely online with no download, I like it because there seems to be endless things to do, however it is pretty difficult to figure out. I could keep using it and figuring it out and have endless possibilities of what to do or I could try and take a more user friendly route.

I think while I am still deciding what program I want to use to put together my audio and edit it, I can probably start today after school with recording some piano or guitar with my phone or chromebook to use in the audio editing software's. I believe I am going to do some type of cover of a song I already know of. I wanna find a tutorial of a certain song that i like and isn't going to be too difficult.

My Song Ideas

  • Where is my mind?

  • Never be like you

  • starboy

  • Flashing lights

These are my Ideas so far for song ideas, and if I can learn to overlap the audio like I plan to then maybe i wouldn't be opposed to trying more than one song in the end product.

As I was searching for software to use I found several programs that will do exactly what I need. Next step is going to be recording piano audio files for Where is my mind? cover. Also today i was experiencing with video and audio overlaps just by opening several tabs at once, and figuring out which times and songs are best for it, this has been the most fun of the project so far, you can really make great things happen with this and it opens my eyes for more opportunities for my project.

I've begun to make a combos of song overlaps that i've found appealing and saving these in a google doc for me to go back to later and further them for possible audio editing. I've decided to use an online software this time around that is capable of  using more than one track. It is called soundation. I've also used a mp3 converter to take the tracks i need and allow me to use them with the software. Using this software is a little tricky when it comes to taking the track you make to other places so I have to go through several processes to get it to an mp3 file which is extra tricky with the school system however this site worked for me

Soundation is a great Tool for editing the multi track audios! so much potential, but unless you are a paid member it cannot be shared :( . So Afterwards I spent about a day and a half researching for something else to use for making multi track audios without paying money. Unfortunately I wasn't able to find something to work well on the computer but I did Find an app On The playstore called "Audio Mp3 Editor" it was able to take the audios I had on my phone and 'mix' Them together. The only limitation I've had is that I've been unable to edit the raw audios, However I have Made a Youtube channel to post the mixed audios together. It will work well for keeping my combos in a record and let people easily view the content I've put together. In the future as I continue the following year With R&D I'm Investing Money for a membership To soundation where I can mix and cut and edit the audios as well as post them onto the soundation site as well.
